Design Museum

The London Design Museum is devoted to all kinds of creative visuals, including finds from the worlds of architecture, graphics and fashion. While staying at boutique hotels in Shoreditch, this is a great place to pick up a little inspiration or visit one of the many ongoing exhibitions. The venue even offers a range of workshops, which will prove particularly useful for anyone eager to learn more about their creative craft in a hands-on way. First founded in 1989, the Design Museum is well on the way to becoming a world-leading space for contemporary design.

Tate Modern

Situated on London’s South Bank, the Tate Modern is perched on the Thames and provides Britain’s leading venue for international modern art. No matter the creative pursuit you’re following, there’s sure to be something here to pique your interest. The galleries often feature exhibits which harness the latest technology, or film-based installations which combine genres for a mind-bending experience. Just a simple browse around the artistic on-site gift shop is enough to help you find some inspiration while you stay at boutique hotels in Shoreditch.

The Barbican

This is one of the venues in London where you can really find a little of everything, including a theatre, cinema and gallery, in addition to a peaceful conservatory filled with greenery, ideal for contemplating your next creative project in peace. There are talks, exhibitions and much more besides. For many, just enjoying the impressive architecture of the space is enough to leave them in awe, but this is also a place you can engage with all the major art forms under one roof. The Barbican is a place always eager to push the boundaries, and supports new and emerging artists.

Since its establishment in 2001, the store has catered to everything from graphic design to fashion, photography, fine art and architecture, as well as having an extensive collection devoted to visual theory.

Hyde Park

Sometimes creativity strikes when you’re simply relaxing and enjoying a break from it all – if this sounds appealing, then heading to one of London’s stunning Royal Parks is the best way. While there are plenty to choose from, Hyde Park is set within the centre of London and provides world-leading events and outdoor concerts, as well as boasting a stunning lake, and the chance to try your hand at a range of activities such as tennis, boating and horse riding.
