Deen City Farm
Experience a real taste of nature at this family-friendly farm in the heart of Collier’s Wood. Deen City Farm is part of the National Trust’s Modern Hall Park Estate and has become a hotspot for nature lovers, animal fans and those with green fingers. Your kids will love making friends with the cute baby animals crawling around the farm. With everything from chicks and ducklings to lambs and ponies, the Deen City Farm is home to all kinds of furry friends. Buy some food to feed the animals before teaching your kids about life on the farm. Deen City offers day-long experiences for little farmers to live a day in the life of a real countryman.
Hounslow Urban Farm
North Feltham, London
The urban farm in Hounslow is London’s biggest city farm and is home to hundreds of animals, many of which are free roaming. Bring the whole family along for a day out on the farm and learn about the processes involved with raising animals such as goats, pigs, cows and ducks. Hounslow Urban Farm is also home to some less common farm critters such as chipmunks, alpacas and many types of bird. The large communal areas are perfect for a family picnic so be sure to pack a nice lunch before you head over to North Feltham. If you’re looking for some fun, place your bets at the weekly pig race and meet the contenders at the finish line with some food to reward them with.
