L’Anima – Spitalfields

Owned by designer Claudio Silvestrin, this hidden secret of Shoreditch is a must for those debriefings after work hours. Time Out recommends the beef tagliata on a marrow bone pillar while for the vegetarian there is the tagliatelle with wild mushrooms and truffles. These exquisite dishes are complemented by a fine array of wine and why not finish or with a nice aperitif?

Callooh Callay – Old Street

If you’re looking for something much more laid back from your post-work wind down then Shoreditch is your destination once again. In the Old Street area you will find Callooh Callay, a real chilled venue with a penchant for excellent cocktails.

This bar boasts a Lewis Carroll/Victoriana theme and a range of cocktails that can not be beaten. Despite some pretty suspect names such as ‘Storm in a Thai Cup’ and ‘Swizzle Dee, Sizzle Dum’ they really are delicious and a nice change from the usual beer or wine fare.

There is a range of bar snacks such as sliders and mini sandwiches so if you’re feeling a bit peckish, all bases are covered.

Be at One Guildhall – Gresham Street

Staying in the City there is Be at One Guildhall on Gresham Street. Just a stone’s throw from St Paul’s Cathedral this a haven for anyone that enjoys a cocktail. The bar has a huge menu of 160 different mixes and has become a big hit with workers who like to have a relaxing drink after a long day in the office.

Whether your tipple be a Side Car, Screaming Orgasm, Diablo, Brazilian Monk or Breakfast Monk there will definitely be something that hits all the right notes when it touches the back of your throat.

Grand Union Chancery Lane – Chancery Lane

A short walk from the famous Fleet Street, Grand Union Chancery Lane is yet another one of London’s hidden gems for cocktails. Popular for staff parties, the bar is within easy reach of Chancery Lane Underground station making it the perfect destination for a few cool-down drinks after a long day of meetings.
